interesting websites

SHOW DATES - Newark Irregulars - keep a diary of national wargaming events called, inappropriately, - "Wargames Calendar 2017" (one of the tab options at the top).  When you get to the correct page it does show current events.

Advancing in a Different Direction - wargaming blog by one of our members - mainly DBM, Renaissance & Colonial.

Junior General - lots of paper figures for those who want to try out a new period before they have to buy, and paint, loads of figures & models.  Also some scenarios with rules.

Miniature Wargaming - German site (in English) - scenarios, rules, flags, etc

North Star Magazine - not really a magazine at all but this commercial company has a number of free downloadable articles in its 'Latest Content' section.

Obscure Battles - provides maps and OOB for a number of (not so) obscure battles -
Crecy (1346), Blenheim (1704), Mollowitz (1741), Soor (1745), Lobositz (1756),  Kolin (1757), Leuthen (1757), Zorndorf (1758); Durnstein, Elchingen, Gunzburg & Haslach-Jungingen (all 1805); Ggokli Hill (1818), Cedar Mountain (1862), Pickett's Charge (1863) & Omdurman (1898)

One Monk Miniatures - hordes of paper miniatures & models to download.

Plastic Soldier Review - 'what it says on the tin'   [Check out Michigan Toy Company as well]
