SHOW DATES - Newark Irregulars - keep a diary of national wargaming events called, inappropriately, - "Wargames Calendar 2017" (one of the tab options at the top). When you get to the correct page it does show current events.
Advancing in a Different Direction - wargaming blog by one of our members - mainly DBM, Renaissance & Colonial.
Junior General - lots of paper figures for those who want to try out a new period before they have to buy, and paint, loads of figures & models. Also some scenarios with rules.

North Star Magazine - not really a magazine at all but this commercial company has a number of free downloadable articles in its 'Latest Content' section.
